Self Identifying with a Disability at Work

January 2021
Online

Liz Travis Allen, attorney and disability advocate, will be opened up our event with some best practices on self identifying with a disability at work and some guidance on our rights under the ADA.

After that, we opened up the floor to participants who shared their experiences or asked a questions. Self identifying is a personal decision and there is no one size fits all answer about how, when, and/or who to disclose to in a professional context.

SXSW Panel: Tap Into Employee Feedback to Shape D&I Initiatives

March 2020
Austin, TX

Despite most companies’ belief that diversity is both the right and the smart thing to do, 1 in 4 employees still feel they don’t belong at their company. So, how do companies ensure they have people from all kinds of backgrounds and identities at every level of their organization, while also creating a culture where employees feel welcome and empowered to grow?

Natasha Walton of Tech Disability Project joins Aubrey Blanche of Atlassian, Heidi Williams of tEQuitable and Becky Cantieri of SurveyMonkey for this discussion.
